• LeBron James not ruling out return to the Cleveland Cavaliers
LeBron James not ruling out return to the Cleveland Cavaliers Could LeBron James see himself playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers again? He won't rule it out and said that if he decided to return someday he hopes the town's famously scorned fans would accept him back. James qualified it all by saying he's happy playing for the championship-contending Miami Heat. But making his third return to Cleveland since his high-profile free-agency departure, hard feelings seem to be thawing from James' perspective. "I think it would be great, it would be fun to play in front of these fans again," James said after the Heat's practice Thursday at Quicken Loans Arena. "I had a lot of fun times here. You can't predict the future. Hopefully you continue to stay healthy. I'm here as a Miami player and I are happy where I am now but I don't rule that out in any sense. If I decide to come back, hopefully the fans will accept me." Dwyane Wade, who helped convince James to leave Cleveland two years ago, admitted he could see James coming back -- but not in the near future. "Anything is possible," Wade said. "Hopefully I'm retired." James, who is under contract with the Heat for two more seasons with an option for two more, also seemed to extend an olive branch to Cavs owner Dan Gilbert. The two have taken various high-profile shots at each other since James' departure in July of 2010. The most memorable was Gilbert's rambling open letter to Cavs fans the night James announced his decision on ESPN. • Kobe Bryant vs LeBron James 11/12 NBA *Flu Game
Kobe Bryant vs LeBron James 11/12 NBA *Flu Game LeBron James was sitting at his locker after the game, a bottle of cold medicine at his side. The Los Angeles Lakers would be hard-pressed to believe it was needed. James shook off flu-like symptoms to put up 31 points, eight rebounds and eight assists -- hours after being told to stay away from the team's shootaround practice after calling in with a cough and chest congestion -- and the Miami Heat topped the Lakers 98-87 on Thursday night. Chris Bosh scored 15 for Miami, which won its second straight after a three-game slide. "A chest cold can get to you at times," James said. "But I felt like I could help the team." Shane Battier scored 11 and led the way defensively on Kobe Bryant. Mario Chalmers finished with 10 for Miami, which led by as many as 23 points and improved to 5-1 at home. Miami moved to 5-0 this season without Dwyane Wade, who missed his second straight game with a sprained right ankle. He missed three games earlier this season with left foot soreness. No problem -- James simply did his thing, yet again. "We don't take his talent for granted, nor do we take Dwyane's talent or Chris' talent," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. "They're special players and they can rise to the occasion." Pau Gasol scored a season-high 26 for the Lakers, Bryant scored 24 -- 14 of them coming in the fourth quarter -- and Andrew Bynum finished with 15 points and 12 rebounds. "We tried to adjust to some things," said Bryant, who had a four-game stretch of scoring at least 40 ... From: MrPennyccw Views: 11100 12 ratings Time: 02:12 More in Sports
• Heat vs Mavericks Game 5 NBA Finals 06/09/11 Recap & Highlights
Heat vs Mavericks Game 5 NBA Finals 06/09/11 Recap & Highlights Mavericks overcome James' triple-double, lead 3-2 By BRIAN MAHONEY Posted Jun 10 2011 1:42AM DALLAS (AP) Dirk Nowitzki thrust both arms in the air, a sea of blue screaming around him and the Dallas Mavericks finally ahead in these ultra-close NBA finals. Now it really is "now or never" for LeBron James and the Miami Heat. Nowitzki scored 29 points, driving for the go-ahead dunk with 2:45 remaining, and the Mavericks beat the Heat 112-103 on Thursday night to take a 3-2 lead. Five years after going up 2-0 on the Heat, the Mavs finally got that elusive third victory, and can wrap up their first championship in Game 6 at Miami on Sunday night. "We didn't want to go to Miami and give them basically two shots to close us out. So we kept plugging there in the fourth. So definitely a big win for us," Nowitzki said. "And now we have to go down there and basically approach Sunday's game as Game 7." James, who called this game "now or never," responded from his worst playoff performance with 17 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists, and Dwyane Wade battled through a sore left hip after a first-quarter collision to finish with 23 points. "I could have made a couple of more plays for my team," James said. "But at the end of the day, all it's about is a win or a loss. Triple-double means absolutely nothing in a loss. So we will be better in Game 6 on Sunday." Chris Bosh had 19 points and 10 rebounds for the Heat, who get the final two games at home with history against them as they try ... From: mikegutierreztheboss Views: 24884 22 ratings Time: 03:26 More in Sports

Miami Heat vs Chicago Bulls (83 - 80) May 26, 2011 (NBA PlayOff Eastern Finals) The Miami Heat make an incredible comeback in the fourth quarter to top the Bulls and advance to the NBA Finals. Heat-Bulls notebook By Paul Ladewski, for NBA.com Posted Friday May 27, 2011 1:06AM CHICAGO -- FACTS: Experience has been a buzzword in these playoffs, and Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals was all of that again. As was the case in Game 4, Derrick Rose and the Bulls couldn't close the the deal in the final minutes, while LeBron James and the time-tested Heat made almost all the right moves. Once again, Rose (25 points, eight assists, five fouls) missed a crucial free throw down the stretch, one that would have tied the score with 26.7 seconds on the clock. Heat forward Chris Bosh calmly drained a pair of charity tosses, the final touches on a remarkable comeback that saw the visitors erase a 77-65 deficit in the final 3:14. For three-plus quarters, it appeared that the series would be a brand new ballgame. In a replay of the series opener, the Bulls did the" dirty work," as Heat coach Erik Spoelstra called it. They played smart, aggressive defense, controlled both backboards, received contributions from several players and led by as many 13 points. James would have none of it, however, as he took the game by the throat. In the fourth quarter, he a dozen points, three rebounds, two assists, two steals and one blocked shot. The big three of James (28), Bosh (20) and guard Dwyane Wade (21) accounted for all except 14 of their team's points.
