A knowledgeable federal government counter-narcotics source in Arizona has revealed that the shooting on Jan 8, 2011 of US Rep Gabrielle Giffords + US Judge John Roll in Tucson was planned as a twin assassination of 2 individuals who threatened to expose a weapons-for-drugs smuggling operation carried out by a covert group working under the aegis of the Central Intelligence Agency + Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano. In fact, the covert operation dates back to when Napolitano was governor of Arizona. Roll had been Chief Judge of the District of Arizona since 2006. The assassin, Jared Lee Loughner, killed 5 others and wounded 13, including Giffords, at a Safeway parking lot in north Tucson. Loughner's first and priority targets were Roll + Giffords. WMR has also been told that while the US-Mexican border operation oversees the smuggling to Mexican drug cartels of weapons, including fully automatic AK-47s, in return for drugs smuggled across the border, mostly delivered by airplanes that make clandestine drops on pre-approved drop zones or landing strips in Arizona, New Mexico, + west Texas, at night, it is only peripherally connected to the "Fast + Furious" operation. Kathy apologises to Ian for her outburst on the witness stand, and Nick asks Cindy about Ian being shot. She claims it was a business rival, and Ian received "just a scratch". The judge sums up, saying both parents abducted the children, which is a serious matter, and all things were equal in most respects between the parents, and both have agreed to free access to the other parent if they are given custody, so he would not usually recommend any change, as this causes upheaval to the children. However, the children must be allowed to love both parents, and although the paternal grandmother may try to hide her feelings, the children must not be exposed to her animosity to the mother, so the ruling is that the children will be awarded to the mother. Ian can't believe it, and Cindy gloats that Kathy's always had a big mouth. Nick is more concerned about the shooting, which is news to him. Outside the court, Kathy screeches at Cindy as usual, waffling on yet again about Ian being shot. Nick says we know all about the little scratch he got, let's go. Kathy hysterically grabs Ian and tears off his shirt to show Nick his scar (Kathy's vast experience at undressing men makes this a swift job) and Nick is obviously surprised that he still has a mark there. Nick asks Cindy again, saying it obviously wasn't just a scratch, and if they ever have an argument, will he need a bullet proof vest? In the courtroom, Todd admits he shot Irene and thinks back to shooting Victor. He refuses to let Tomas go to jail for a crime he committed. Tomas is forced to confirm the truth. The judge drops the charges against Tomas and asks if the commonwealth wants to charge Todd in Irene's murder. The prosecutor is granted a recess. Blair praises Todd for doing the right thing. Tomas thanks Blair for talking Todd into confessing but wonders where that leaves them. As Todd asks Tea to keep him out of prison, Nora arrives and court's called back to order. Tea pleads Todd's case. The judge notes Nora already appears to have Todd convicted but asks if she plans to prosecute him for Irene's murder. Todd's earlier statement is brought up. He was about to tell the court what else he did. "Something unforgivable," Todd replies then claims he let Tomas admit to a crime he didn't commit. Nora doesn't have evidence to prosecute Todd and is forced to let him go. Tomas shakes Todd's hand. Todd thanks Tea, who demands he help her find out who killed Victor in return. Todd storms out. Todd goes to Victor's grave. Though he hates him for taking his life, Todd knows Victor didn't deserve death. In tears, Todd apologizes for killing Victor.
