• Anti-Bullying Speaker Curses Christian Teens
Anti-Bullying Speaker Curses Christian Teens As many as 100 high school students walked out of a national journalism conference after an anti-bullying speaker began cursing, attacked the Bible and reportedly called those who refused to listen to his rant "pansy assed." The speaker was Dan Savage, founder of the "It Gets Better" project, an anti-bullying campaign that has reached more than 40 million viewers with contributors ranging from President Obama to Hollywood stars. Savage also writes a sex advice column called "Savage Love." Savage, and his "husband", were also guests at the White House for President Obama's 2011 LGBT Pride Month reception. He was also invited to a White House anti-bullying conference. Savage was supposed to be delivering a speech about anti-bullying at the National High School Journalism Conference sponsored by the Journalism Education Association and the National Scholastic Press Association. But it turned into an episode of Christian-bashing. Rick Tuttle, the journalism advisor for Sutter Union High School in California, was among several thousand people in the audience. He said they thought the speech was one thing -- but it turned into something else. "I thought this would be about anti-bullying," Tuttle told Fox news. "It turned into a pointed attack on Christian beliefs." Tuttle said a number of his students were offended by Savage's remarks -- and some decided to leave the auditorium. "It became hostile," he said. "It felt hostile as we were sitting in the audience -- especially ... From: GCrowdy Views: 3798 100 ratings Time: 03:21 More in News & Politics

• Tax Payer Waste: Memphis Inmates Smoke Pot, Eat Snacks in Jail
Tax Payer Waste: Memphis Inmates Smoke Pot, Eat Snacks in Jail Newslink: myfox8.com MEMPHIS, Tenn. — When you think of someone who is locked up, you usually imagine a pretty boring life, cut off from the outside world. WREG-TV found that's not the case in one Memphis lock-up. Inmates are openly displaying gang signs, hoarding mounds of food and even smoking marijuana and it's all happening under the supposedly watchful eyes of prison guards. The inmate is locked up on a six-year sentence for a violation of probation on aggravated burglary and theft convictions. Judging from his Facebook page, he's doing anything but hard time behind bars. Sneaking in a cell phone inside a penal facility like the Shelby County Corrections Center is a big deal, but what else he has his hands on is almost unbelievable. In one of the video clips the inmate says, "I'm going to give y'all an episode, a preview of all this scrumptious items that we got that we eat on a daily basis." The inmate then proceeds to show off a huge lot of snacks and commissary items that he and his prison buddies share. He says, "We're eating around here, man. I don't know about y'all on the street but I know we eating in here, man." He adds, "Man, we having so much (expletive) around here, it's like we got a food stamp card in this (expletive), man." He said, "We're eating around here. Drinks. Dr. Pepper. Mountain Dews. Quench your thirst." The inmate says they are living a better life on the inside of prison than most of us are on the outside. The inmate consistently posts on ... From: RichardNixonization Views: 708 2 ratings Time: 04:00 More in News & Politics

• Media youth prison life
Media youth prison life Memphis, Tn - Convicted burglar Martez Wright has been using social media to talk about getting marijuana while imprisoned at the Shelby County Corrections Center. "Good gonja...the stuff with the real fuzz," he inmate said as he filmed himself behind bars. In the recording, he is seen smelling it. Although it is under investigation, Wright is apparently smoking the pot too. This video is part of four other clips he posted to his Facebook page in the past week. Wright says that he is "getting plenty of food and money" while in the slammer. "We eatin' around here mane. I don't know about y'all on the street" he added. Wright added, "we're having so much (expletive) around here like we got a food stamp card in this (expletive) mane." Throughout one of his videos, Wright showed off how much contraband is stockpiled in his cell. "We got batteries so we can keep these phones and (expletive) charged up," he says. On Thursday, County Mayor Mark Luttrell announced the inmate has been moved to another housing unit. Wright is now being charged for smuggling a cell phone, the same one he used to show him and his buddies "livin' it up." Wright uploaded his videos on two different Facebook pages starting in February and early April. After receiving a tip about his posts, an internal investigation is underway to find out who else participated in the smuggling scheme. It will also determine why corrections officers didn't know about this before everyone else knew on Facebook. From: oakwoodNS Views: 1244 5 ratings Time: 02:08 More in News & Politics
• Firas ACAB-desktop.mov
Firas ACAB-desktop.mov This one has a sting in the tail..but words need to be said, sometimes aggressive, rude, blatant, angry. Firas interrupts his tune he calls, 'Bledi' - 'My Country'..with a few expletives, which my fixer friends have some difficulty in transcribing. So we use the universal definition to describe what he says at the end. His tune has a point: a democratic country with security checks, an Islamic country, with drunks everywhere. Whilst it has to be said this is a generalized view, he has cut through the layers of rhetoric and reached straight to the point. In Firas' eyes, Tunisia is a land of hypocrisy, and I am sure this is not just his eyes, his point of view, his personal feeling..
